Who will win?

A friend of mine asked who will i think win the hulu selangor by-election.

Well, hmm..hard a question bcoz, i hate losing. Emotionally, I want BN to win, not because i like bN but because, BN deserves to win this time around. I can give so many reasons y, but emotionally, i feel so touched when Tun M went down to Serendah to reach out to people. 2 big names- Tun M & Najib hand in hand 4 d same cause, is not sth u see everyday..in PRK i mean. n they r fighting for the present govt- what makes me so emo is looking at Tun M-how fragile he looks, yet, his envision for Msia is still strong as ever.

this is d kind of a leader that we want- s1 who inspires, who don't care wht pp think of him, or wht pp will say about his decision to campaign. A great leader will not leave his reign behind just because he is not in control. A leader is one, who goes far as to ensure the betterment of all.

Well, even if BN lose, I guess, at least they have done their best. To me, if the rakyat don't want them to lead, they have to respectfully step down regally. After all, it is the people's choice isn't it?

to answer the question as to who will win, I bet, it will be BN- with few thousands majority.

The price tag of leadership

Maxwell (1993) wrote "the first victory they won was over themselves..self-discipline with all of them came first." -that is referring to the lives of great men.

Self-control then, refers to people who are willing to get a grip on their lives and take control of areas that will bring them success or failure. An individual usually has faith, be it a Muslim, or Christian. Religious affiliation gives meaning to our lives. And with that belief, there are certain conditions that we need to abide to. And in every religion, they enjoin good, and prohibit wrongdoings.

However, we are proned to make mistakes, we repent, try to forget, and we move on. Then again, the past may haunt us. This is the case with Zaid. He admitted to drinking, but that was a thing in the past. He apologized - appealing to people to accept his weaknesses. However, it is now up to the Hulu Selangor folks to decide the type of leader they want. Accepting Zaid means they give him a second chance and accept him the way that he is (the good and bad side of a man). On the other hand, accepting Zaid also means, we are compromising with the character of leaders who are going to lead us.

The choice now is with the Hulu Selangor people. I guess, we will just have wait and see.

Zaid is a scapegoat

I see Zaid as a capable leader, respected by all, especially when most of my friends read his books. However, a search on the net and chats with friends told me otherwise.

He has a colorful personality, skeleton in the closet, or some say- baggage. I don't want to believe that, but I am forced to weigh the facts, sort out the probable truths and not so truth about him.

Whatever it is, I feel his nomination is based on easy excuse PR can give to people if they lose this by-election. First, if they lose, they will say Zaid is not a local; if they win, it will boost PR's image, thus, giving them extra credit to continue with their slamming on the government.

Commonalities between Woods & Anwar

Question: Should Woods be held accountable for his action?
Answer: Yes
WHY:?
Because he is a fully-formed human being capable of thinking and making choices. He is matured enough to realize repercussions/consequences of his actions. Aristotle distinguishes moral from intellectual virtues. As a moral being, we should have both- moral: to discern right from wrong; and intellectual: capacity of thinking and make use of knowledge.
Woods, is lacking the moral aspect when he made the choice to have sex with other women beside his wife. Intellectually, I may say he has none, because to me, both are hand in hand.

Question 2: Should we still accept him in the society?
Answer: Probably not.
Reason: He is a role model, and with that are responsibilities that he has to uphold. His infidelity influences many people to justify their actions of cheating their spouses. The widespread media report that is being sensationalized makes people think that it is common nowadays to commit infidelity, and not received any punishments.

WHERE DOES THIS LEAVE ANWAR?

Hulu Selangor is BN's!!!

P94 Hulu Selangor..PR can never win there!!

I am very certain that PR can never established its hold in Hulu Selangor.

Most of those in Hulu Selangor have pledged loyalty to PM, and BN, specifically. Only that they asked for BN to:

1) choose a candidate who is a local, from Hulu Selangor.
2) ensure their economic well-being.
3) to fight for their rights.

I bet PR realizes that their hold on Hulu Selangor has weakened and even the people there begin to digest the ineffectiveness of PR as their leaders. The main and only reason why Hindraf turned to BN again after realizing that PR can never fight their rights.

My only advise to BN, be sincere and look for what's best for the people there.
